High Fashion Tailoring
We are looking to create for highly proficient and experienced Men's Seamstresses and Master Tailors to join our team.
This brand will be American-based with a world-class French haute couture modelist leading the production team.
You will be responsible for the production of finished prototypes and construction and assembly of garments.
Position overview:
- Position: Tailor (M/F)
- Contract type: Part-time
- Location: Southern California
- Salary: To be determined based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Produce garments following specifications and measurements provided
- Perform sewing operations to assemble different parts of garments
- Fabricate, construct and assemble pieces to create finished garments
- Use sewing machines, tools and specialized equipment to carry out assigned tasks
- Collaborate with the team to guarantee the quality and precision of finished products
Required experience:
- Previous experience as a tailor or in a similar field
- In-depth knowledge of sewing, tailor preparation (laying, piccotage, etc.) and assembly techniques
- Ability to read and interpret patterns and cutting plans
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
