Job Description:
As a Part Masker, you will be crucial in ensuring that machined components are properly prepared for coating by accurately masking specific areas. Your attention to detail and precision will help maintain the quality and functionality of our products.
Responsibilities:
Accurately mask areas on machined parts to prevent coating application as per detailed work instructions or drawings.
Inspect parts before masking to identify imperfections or inconsistencies.
Select and apply appropriate masking materials, such as tapes, plugs, caps, or custom-cut masks.
Maintain cleanliness of parts to ensure optimal adhesion of coatings.
Remove masking materials after the coating process and inspect parts for quality.
Collaborate with the production and quality teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Prior experience in masking, painting, or coating preparation is a plus but not required – training will be provided.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
Capability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
Comfortable handling small parts and tools.
