A reputable natural stone and solid surface manufacturing company specializing in commercial and residential construction projects is actively looking to bring on board an experienced Solid Surface Fabricator. This critical role involves working with a variety of materials to create high-quality surfaces for diverse applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manufacture custom solid surface products.
Read and interpret drawings to produce products within tolerance and specifications.
Operate various power equipment, hand tools and assorted sizes to process solid surface materials.
Familiar with fabrication of Corian and similar finishing techniques.
Load and adjust workpieces onto equipment or worktables.
Grind, sand, clean and/or polish surfaces to standard finish or as specified using hand tools and power tools, and/or correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing.
Select adhesives, abrasives, polishes, caulks, etc. when required, according to finishes specified and steps in the finishing processes.
Transfer finished products to work area and/or staging areas.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure a safe working environment.
Skills and Abilities:
Self-started with the ability to communicate effectively, display a positive respectful attitude.
Critical thinking, problem solving, and time management skills.
Ability to operate equipment, power tools and hand tools correctly, efficiently, and safely.
Ability to work under conditions with changing priorities, short deadlines, and multiple assignments.
Experience:
3+ years of prior experience in solid surface
Bilingual
Job Type:
Full-time, non-exempt, direct hire.
Monday through Friday.
Shift start time varies usually between 5 AM to 1:30 PM
Daily overtime required when necessary.
Pre-employment drug / alcohol screen & a pre-employment physical required.
