Job Description:
As a Plating Shop Tank Maintenance Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our plating processes. Your primary responsibility will be maintaining and managing the plating tanks, monitoring chemical treatments and to keep our operations safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of plating tanks, ensuring optimal tank conditions.
Monitor and adjust chemical baths for optimal plating performance and quality.
Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot tank equipment to prevent downtime.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
Record and maintain accurate logs of chemical usage, waste disposal, and tank maintenance activities.
Work closely with management and other departments to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plating and waste treatment processes.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications are a plus).
Must have some experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of environmental regulations.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and safety instructions.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and working with equipment.
