Come join the team at the Fred Finch Specialized Wraparound Program The Program: The Fred Finch Specialized Wraparound Program works directly with the Regional Center to provide wraparound services. Participants served demonstrate behavior challenges that pose barriers to living successfully in natural home environment and impair their ability to create healthy, lasting relationships with others. Therapists make an assessment and work with youth, treatment providers and families to develop and implement a treatment plan to work with families to preserve the stability of the home environment. The goals of the program are to address the youths developmental and/or mental health needs, diminish negative social behaviors, and to preserve the family. The program employs family-centered, strength-based practices and a culturally competent approach.

The program offers the following services: assessment and intervention, individual and family counseling; case management; caregiver/parent coaching; crisis response; linking family/youth to natural and community support; and access to psychiatric support and medication.The Company: Fred Finch Youth and Family Services has been serving children and young adults with mental and intellectual disabilities for more than a century.THE POSITION: Full-time Family Partner position based out of our San Diego - Escondido location.JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:

The Family Partner provides direct care to identified parents and caregivers in a community or home setting. Family Partners may also provide direct care to youth or young adults. The primary role of the Parent/Family Partner is to provide one-on-one support and mentorship to parents and caregivers, and/or participants or other family members, by sharing experience and expertise in navigating systems and programs (e.g., Regional Center, Children and Family Services, Special Education Systems, Juvenile Justice Systems, Placement Services, Behavioral Health Care Services, or Residential Centers). The Partner works collaboratively with the parent, caregiver, or participant and other appropriate community and treatment team members to provide the best therapeutic care possible. Along with the rest of the team, the Partner is active in supporting and implementing an individualized, evidence-based, culturally competent, family-centered approach. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience advocating, preferably as the family member, for someone who has received mental health or other services.Prior parent or youth mentoring or advocacy experience. High School Diploma or GED required Experience in group facilitation skills preferred.Bilingual preferred. CHECK OUT WHAT OUR BENEFITS INCLUDE!
