GUEST SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (PART TIME)
PRIMARY FUNCTION: To support the entire hotel team in providing first class customer service to hotel guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Greet, register and assign hotel rooms to walk-in and reservation guests in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
2. Create, confirm and manage reservations for hotel guests.
3. Answer incoming phone calls, set wake-up calls and transfer calls.
4. Maintain a visual standard in the office, and lobby including general maintenance.
5. Perform specific operational tasks (e.g. create housekeeping reports, close credit card batches) particular to the work shift.
6. Coordinate tasks with other members of hotel staff (e.g. housekeeping and maintenance).
7. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
8. Maintain an environment where all hotel guests and associates are treated fairly, with dignity and respect.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
1. Demonstrate a positive and constructive attitude.
2. Effective communication skills.
3. Effective organization skills with the ability to multitask.
4. Ability to work cooperatively with hotel guests and staff and vendors.
5. Be self-motivated with the ability to work responsibly and independently.
6. Ability to maintain composure and manage stressful situations when they occur.
7. Prior experience/employment in hospitality and/or customer service position preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to be mobile in the office for extended periods of time.
2. Ability to work weekends and holidays with a flexible schedule (can work part time with the option of taking on any additional and available shifts).
3. Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 50 lbs. while utilizing appropriate safety techniques. Must be capable of pushing and/or pulling up to 200 lbs. while utilizing appropriate safety techniques.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent job experience.
