We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This role requires a hands-on professional who can ensure product quality, maintain compliance with certification standards, and support our social media marketing efforts.
Position Summary:
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating and photographing products, ensuring compliance with FDA, Organic Certifiers, Non-GMO, Vegan, and Kosher certifications. You will also assist with basic social media marketing to promote our certified products, working in collaboration with the marketing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality assurance inspections of products and processes to ensure compliance with FDA and other certification standards (Organic, Non-GMO, Vegan, Kosher).
- Take high-quality images of products for record-keeping and marketing purposes.
- Verify and document compliance with all regulatory and certification requirements.
- Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance processes to improve product consistency and safety.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support social media campaigns that promote product certifications and quality.
- Maintain detailed records and reports on product quality and certification compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or technical specialization in Quality Assurance, Food Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance or a similar role.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and certification standards (Organic, Non-GMO, Vegan, Kosher).
- Proficiency in using a computer and relevant software (Microsoft Office, quality management systems).
- Basic understanding of social media marketing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
- Strong photography skills for product imaging.
- Bilingual English - Spanish
