Job Duties: The SR. PRODUCTION PLANNER will work with the plant manager regarding all aspects of the production schedule.
-Managing the scheduling and timeliness of the production process.
-Scheduling production and monitoring the production process for problems.
-Handling production disruptions and productivity problems.
-Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management.
-Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.
-Tracking/trending of data collected.
-Working with and leading cross functional teams to optimize the schedule and to create efficient production schedules that meet customer demands, accommodate maintenance and shutdowns.
-Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
-Ensures timely and appropriate response to customer and sales production requests.
-Monitor the overall situation, including incoming orders, supply chain problems, market changes, and inventory issues to minimize the impact on production.
-Evaluate the workforce needs and schedule and work collaboratively with Plant Management and HR to make sure we align our workforce capacity with customer demand.
Skills Needed: Very good speaking, reading and writing skills in English for paperwork and computer training purposes. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook.
Repetitive standing, walking, bending, heavy lifting, pushing/pulling to 75 lbs. Cold environment; approximately 35 degrees F. Requires accuracy and attention to detail. English proficiency required. Previous warehouse or material moving experience preferred.
