IT INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT MANAGER – SAN BERNARDINO
Sierra Cybernetics is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to work for us at our County government client’s site in downtown San Bernardino.
This is expected to be a 12+ month assignment, in an on-site/remote work combination each week.
Only US citizens or green card holders will be considered.
Your role will be to initiate, plan, execute, control and close projects according to the established Project Management Methodology of our client’s Innovation and Technology Department in order to ensure projects meet or exceed timeline, budget and quality expectations.
Responsibilities:
Thorough analysis, planning, execution, monitoring, communication, and closure of projects. Prepare and maintain comprehensive project plans and supporting documents such as RASCI, charters, minutes, action items, and risk and issue logs from project inception through closure, including hand-off to IT support/operations.
Track all project tasks, deliverables, financials, RAID logs, adhering to recognized project management standards.
Lead project teams by collaborating with project resources and technology leads to prepare and present accurate ITD project status updates, dashboards, and report to the leadership team.
Develop, define, maintain project plans, including all documentation and reporting applications, to ensure efficiency and consistent communication.
Lead team meetings to gather the required project details.
Work closely with the PMO and leadership to deliver weekly and ad-hoc communications on IT projects across the project lifecycle.
Experience and Education:
Required:
Solid background working with IT infrastructure elements – hardware, software, networks, data centers, security, etc.
5+ years of proven Technology Project Management experience.
3 + years leading complex multiple technology programs/projects.
Experience leading distributed teams in complex environments.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering- related field.
PMP/CSM/PMI-ACP or equivalent certification.
