As we continue to expand our operations, we are looking for a skilled and experienced Lab Analyst II to join our microbiology team.
Position Overview:
As a Microbiology Lab Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in our laboratory operations. You will be responsible for the analysis and interpretation of fungal samples, applying your expertise in microbiology to ensure the precision and quality of our results. Additionally, experience with asbestos analysis is a valuable asset that will be considered favorably.
Key Responsibilities:
Microbiological Analysis: Perform microbiological analysis of fungal samples, including sample preparation, culture, and microscopic examination.
Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control procedures to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of analytical results.
Instrumentation: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments related to microbiological analysis.
Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized records of all laboratory activities and results.
Safety: Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaboration: Work closely with the laboratory team to meet project deadlines and maintain effective communication.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field is required.
Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant laboratory experience in microbiology.
Proficiency in fungal sample analysis is essential.
Experience in asbestos analysis is a strong plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and practices.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
