Operations Associate / Lab / Facilities Manager

Multiple openings in Operations for a growing public biotech company -

Salary $47-59K/yr + benefits and PTO for HS diploma or AS degree candidates

$60K+ for recent graduate BS level candidates w/no industry experience

$68-80K for BS w/1+ years industry experience

Shift: 8-4pm or 9-5pm, onsite role

Job Description #1

Responsibilities

Conduct LN2/CO2 checks, swap out tanks as needed.

Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization of the RPD lab.

Restock lab with necessary consumables from storage rooms twice daily.

Process order requests, generate purchase orders (POs), and place orders for RPD team consumables.

Monitor material tracking and receiving for RPD, including transferring materials not related to RPD to the appropriate department.

Monitor RPD equipment alarms in FusionLive and take necessary actions.

Track and monitor equipment status, receiving, and assigning new equipment asset IDs.

Monitor biohazardous waste bins, arrange for pickups, and file manifests accordingly.

Weekly Tasks:

Conduct inventory tracking and monitoring of RPD materials.

Schedule and track equipment repairs, calibrations, and preventive maintenance.

Assist with current projects assigned by management, such as updating equipment locations, working on system updates, and setting goals for the department.

Perform incubator calibration checks using the Co2/O2 Gas Analyzer.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.

1 years of experience in operations coordination or a similar role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data tracking software.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Description #2

Attend to all assigned work orders, including but not limited to: painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, construction and flooring.

Troubleshoot, evaluate and make recommendations during regular inspections.

Perform routine and non-routine equipment maintenance, modification and repairs in a timely basis.

Maintain effective preventative maintenance programs, as directed by management.

Document repairs, adjustments and replacement of equipment per SOP’s and cGMP regulations.

Complete and coordinate with department heads all repairs, as necessary, to offset downtime and production delays.

Assist maintenance contractors in trouble shooting of equipment.

Order parts and components for repairs as needed.

Assist with the organization and inventory of spare parts.

Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace.

Provide after-hours, on-call support including holidays.

Must follow all safety rules and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with a minimum 2 years relevant experience

Experience in either electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or lab equipment

High mechanical ability preferred

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to effectively organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment.

Ability to communicate in a proactive and solution-focused manner, including keeping management aware of potential issues.

Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems.

Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

Communicate effectively and ability to function well in a team environment.

Flexibility of working hours based on business needs, may include some nights and occasional weekends.

Familiarity of standard laboratory practices

Environmental Health and Safety regulations

Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record

Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand on feet for 2+ hours at a time.
