Position Overview: As a Semi-Armed Security Officer at WGS, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure and safe environment for our clients by enforcing security policies and procedures, all while carrying less-than-lethal equipment. Your role is crucial in deterring incidents before they occur and ensuring the well-being of all personnel and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
Advise violators of policy and procedures.
Deter trespassers and report suspicious activity.
Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances promptly.
Maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal actions.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a security officer or guard.
Familiarity with security protocols and procedures.
Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent; further education in security administration or similar field is preferred.
Certification in less-than-lethal defense tactics.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must have a Valid California Guard Card
