From its modest beginnings as a 1.5 acre lot in Torrance, CA, T-Y Nursery now has four growing grounds on over 800 acres across Southern California dedicated to the production of container grown plants – Los Angeles, Orange County, Pauma Valley, and Escondido. Its diverse inventory includes over 700 varieties, specializing in woody ornamentals, palms, ferns, tropicals, topiaries, ornamental grasses, fruit and shade trees, succulents, and drought tolerant plants.
T-Y Nursery is a volume grower and produces everything from 1 gallon to 36-inch boxes and ships all across the United States, with our primary markets being Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Texas, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico
Job Description
The Inside Sales Representative will utilize plant knowledge and their attention to detail to manage orders from beginning to end, and will learn to anticipate customer needs and offer their services and options to ensure costumer success and satisfaction. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for all sales functions and procedures including; providing estimates, answering inventory, availability, and specification questions, processing orders, taking photos, gathering samples, and effectively communicating with customers throughout the process by frequently working in both the office and nursery yard.
Primary Responsibilities
Bilingual in Spanish a plus
Develop strong customer relationships and learn to anticipate customer needs
Provide timely responses to all costumer questions, inventory requests, and requests for estimates
Knowledge of plants and nursery products and/or the landscape industry
Ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously and collaborate with customers and inside staff. Process all aspects of customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
Constant attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, work independently, and prioritize tasks
Receive instruction and memorize inventory items
Understanding shipping detail. Ex: timeliness, units & weight, area restrictions
Assist with landscaping bid inquiries
Upbeat attitude and professional demeanor
