We are seeking a driven and service-oriented Territory Sales Representative to support and grow our customer base in San Diego and the surrounding Southern California region. This remote role is ideal for a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment, enjoys building long-term customer relationships, and is passionate about serving commercial clients in the green industry.
The ability to close sales and achieve monthly sales targets will be crucial to the success of this role.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Solicit, build, and manage relationships with prospective customers.
Deliver exceptional customer service to commercial clients.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, ensuring satisfaction and long-term engagement.
Promote a wide range of nursery products, offering expert guidance on availability, suitability, and care.
Proactively identify and evaluate opportunities to expand sales by understanding customer needs, analyzing buying patterns, and offering tailored solutions to both existing and prospective clients.
Help maximize shipments by reviewing daily delivery schedules, confirming truck capacity, identifying additional order opportunities, and contacting customers to offer buying options.
Prepare impactful sales presentations, compiling relevant data and materials.
Provide weekly sales development reports.
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proven account management experience
2+ years of commission basis sales experience
2+ years of experience in horticulture sales
Extensive knowledge of varieties of plants, trees, and shrubs
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Must pass a background check
Physical Requirements:
Primarily working in a basic office environment: ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, use stairs, reach, pull and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
Pay
Initial 6 months base pay plus commission, within 6 months will transition to commission only.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm
