Staffing Coordinator

Position Purpose: Staffing Coordinator for our La Mesa office. We will train a candidate with an exceptional SALES experience.

To lead municipal staffing office to achieve TEMP HELP sales goals by selecting, recruiting, directing, and maintaining a staff of qualified temporary job candidates. Support customer service function of the office by making sales presentations and follow-up calls to assigned clients.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Perform daily marketing calls to “be in the marketplace”.

Recruit MPC (most placeable candidates) daily to be always ready to fill job orders.

Memorize 45 job descriptions of municipal government organizations.

Identify staffing requirements of the office’s client base.

Perform required telemarketing sales calls to market existing temporaries to clients and prospects and qualify accounts.

Review all past orders to gain an understanding of all needs and skill requirements.

Gather information regarding clients’ future plans or projects and document for appropriate and timely follow-up.

Develop and maintain recruiting resource to include COATS software to fill staffing requirements.

Draft and submit for approval appropriate advertisements.

Conduct 50 daily in-office recruiting calls.

Pre-qualify, interview, and evaluate/test all qualified applicants.

Perform reference checks to verify candidates’ experience and employment history. Utilize these calls to multi-task for additional business.

Sole discretion in determining whether or not individuals/applicants will be hired.

Assign appropriate temporary staff to fulfill client requirements.

Maintain contact with temporaries on assignment as well as those not on assignment in order to proactively handle problems, maintain productive employee/employer relationships, and increase sales.

Interact with the local community to maximize name exposure and business development through the Chamber of Commerce, clubs, organizations, media, etc.

Provide the highest level of customer service for clients

Coordinate all prospect/client inquiries and problems by defining issues and responding in an accurate and timely manner.

Ensure that temporary assignments are accurate by obtaining detailed requirements from the client, accurately assessing needs and job function, duties and responsibilities.

Conduct follow-up service calls with clients who have our employees on assignment with them.

Conduct prospect and client tours if they are blue collar departments.

Perform Quality Control calls to clients according to an established schedule to communicate new services, and assist in planning for staffing requirements.

Maintain thorough and accurate documentation on all client and temporary employee interaction.

Accompany Account Manager on facility tours as necessary to properly match temporaries, review safety issues, and increase sales.

Support the office’s financial operations by ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed

Perform research on market pay and bill rates for use in setting temporary wages and charges to the client; assist in establishing pay and bill rates.

Select and assign appropriate temporaries to maximize gross margin and minimize training/promotional discounts.

Complete all employee data and payroll adjustments in a timely manner to ensure proper processing.

Manage the every day operational aspects of the office to ensure that the atmosphere is professional and supports a successful organization

Answer phones in a prompt, timely and courteous manner.

Maintain a professional facility appearance and environment.

Help ensure compliance with our office procedures and all State, Federal, and local laws and regulations in hiring, termination, pay and other employment decisions.

Ensure no EEOC/ADA laws are being violated, in conjunction with client requests.

Advise clients of EEOC/ADA laws.
