We are a San Diego based company that manages salon suite locations throughout San Diego. The salon suites are individual studios that cater to lifestyle professionals such as hair stylists, barbers, estheticians, lash techs, nail techs and more. The company currently manages over 100 studios and is looking to hire an Assistant Manager to help with tasks related to the maintenance and other issues related to the suites.

Assistant Property Manager job description

This position will assist in managing daily operations of our salon studios in multiple locations from North County San Diego (Escondido and Oceanside) down to East County (El Cajon). In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring tenant satisfaction, coordinating maintenance and repairs, assisting in different types of online marketing and conducting tours for new licensees. You will also be expected to communicate effectively with licensees, vendors, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.

Assistant Property Managers are responsible for ensuring that the property is well-maintained, and tenants' needs are met. They assist in coordinating repairs and maintenance, and handling tenant complaints. This is an entry-level position that requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Assistant Property Managers work closely with the Manager and other team members to ensure that the salon studios are running smoothly and efficiently.

Assistant Property Manager Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the Salon Manager in managing daily operations of the property

Respond to licensee inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner

Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repairs of the properties

Assist in the leasing and marketing of available units

Perform regular inspections of the property to ensure it is well-maintained and meets safety standards

Assist in the enforcement of lease agreements and property rules

Coordinate with vendors to make sure all cleaning and restroom supplies are stocked

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of tenant and property information

Maintain multiple web sites with current information

Assist in the preparation of license agreements

Some minor construction maintenance required such as fixing plumbing or electrical or maintenance in suites (training will be provided)

Attend meetings with owners, vendors, and licensees as needed

Must visit all locations on a weekly basis to review supply levels and work on small maintenance tasks

Assistant Property Manager requirements and qualifications

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation - this position will require driving

Experience with leasing and marketing preferred

Ability to handle tenant complaints and resolve conflicts

Experience with property maintenance and repair preferred

Experience with vendor management

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Starting compensation of $25/hour for at least 30 hours/week. Must be flexible and available to work Tuesday thru Saturday with additional hours scheduled on an as needed basis.
