Sales Engineer & Audio Visual Installation Technician

CTS Certification a plus!

Excellent opportunity for an individual with a technical or engineering background and enjoys hands on experience in the office assisting designing and creating the BOM and in the field.

We are seeking an experienced A/V installation technician with the following qualifications:

One to Two years commercial audio-visual installation experience

Experience in a variety of low-voltage systems

Working knowledge of hand and power tools plus test equipment

Hands on mechanical aptitude and soldering skills

Basic knowledge of Crestron DM, Extron, AMX, Cisco TelePresence, , XTP and DM Connector termination and management is desired

Candidate must be able to follow blueprints, schematics, technical manuals and/or diagrams

Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions

Knowledge of basic principles of electricity

Knowledge of basic Audio and Video Theory

Responsibilities include:

Experience designing AV solutions and creating BOM.

Installation of full AV systems in boardrooms, command and control centers, classrooms including equipment such as LCD projectors, manual/electrical

screens, audio, control systems, and video conferencing systems.

You will be building equipment racks and installing equipment with a variety of detail, size, and scope.

Work under general direction, perform work independently and on teams, follow directions and utilize tools and procedures to complete installation jobs.

Interpret or learn to interpret schematic drawings.

Maintain extremely professional and courteous relationship with company clients.

Maintain notes on client systems and submit daily work reports and weekly reports showing time devoted to tasks and projects.

All applicants must have a valid California driving license, personal transportation and be in good physical condition with the ability to lift 50-70 pounds. In addition, applicants should have the ability to stand for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, crawl as necessary in order to perform assigned duties. Climbing on tall ladders is required, in addition to occasional work on scaffolding and man lifts.
