Fleet Mechanic – Full-Time

Preman Roofing is searching for a strong-minded, highly motivated, and passionate individual to join our team as a Fleet Mechanic. If you bring a positive attitude, great customer service skills, and the know-how to keep a fleet moving, WE WANT YOU!
About the Role:
You’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of 40 company vehicles (primarily GMC/Chevy, with some Fords). We have a vehicle lift and some tools available, though most tools must be provided by the mechanic.
What You’ll Do:
Inspect vehicles, equipment, batteries, and cables
Perform minor repairs on engines, transmissions, electrical, hydraulics, and A/C systems
Drain/replenish fluids (oil, coolant, steering, transmission, etc.)
Replace/rotate tires as needed
Create repair & maintenance plans and cost estimates
Communicate timelines, costs, and updates with management
Transport vehicles to/from repair sites
Follow all safety standards and company procedures
What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent
Familiarity with Ford, Chevy, gas & some diesel engines
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (must be insurable)
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making ability
Physically able to perform duties (standing, bending, lifting vehicle parts, etc.)
Ability to work independently under pressure
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
