This is a hands-on leadership role requiring relevant experience, a strong dedication to safety and quality, and the ability to effectively lead a framing crew.

Responsibilities
Proteus Homes is seeking an experienced Lead Framer to oversee framing operations on residential construction projects
You will coordinate onsite framing activities, mentor a crew, ensure compliance with safety and building codes, and work closely with project managers and subcontractors to deliver high quality homes
On framing tasks, including constructing walls, roofs and floor systems, and installing sheathing and bracing
Interpret plans: Read and interpret blueprints and specifications; lay out walls, floors and roof trusses accurately
Crew supervision: Direct, train and motivate framing crews, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards
Safety & quality: Enforce jobsite safety protocols and conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets structural and aesthetic requirements
Material and schedule management: Order materials, track job progress and labor hours, and maintain project documentation
Stakeholder communication: Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors and clients, addressing onsite challenges and ensuring clear communication
