Roving maintenance professional to fulfill the challenging skills required to perform maintenance in a variety of areas such as:
Resident Service Requests
Unit Turnovers
Exterior Building Upkeep
Grounds Cleaning
Sprinkler Repairs
Maintain Shop Organization
Ideal Techs use a smart phone app proficiently, are courteous and professional in client relations and satisfaction, fluent in English verbal and written communication, and are team oriented.
Duties include but are not limited to:
PLUMBING: Troubleshoot / Repair /Install angle stops, disposals, faucets, sinks, toilets, shower heads, sink assemblies, drains, moen cartridges, smitty plates, valves, spigots, water heaters, slab leaks.
ELECTRICAL: Troubleshoot / Repair / Install outlets, switches, breakers, GFCIs, light fixtures, ceiling fans, electric gates, exterior lighting programming.
DRYWALL / PAINTING: Drywall patch, drywall installation, texture match, paint.
GENERAL REPAIRS: Repair / Install: window screens, blinds, bathroom and kitchen fixutres, drawers, cabinet doors, sliding closet doors, knobs and locks, hinges, switch out appliances, caulk / seal.
CARPENTRY/MASONRY: Hang doors, stucco patch, seal cement, block wall, exterior structure, etc.
LANDSCAPING / GROUNDSKEEPING: (Infrequently): pressure washing, blowing down, mowing, hedging, edging, trimming, sprinkler repair, program sprinkler system, light pool maintenance.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years apartment maintenance or plumbing
Certifications in plumbing or electrical a plus but not required
High School Diploma or GED
Reliable Truck or SUV, CA Driver License, Maintain Clean Driving Record and Vehicle Insurance
Own Tools and Power Tools to independently perform most plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs and installations - (Tools and equipment are also provided for various jobs)
Availability 1-2 weekends per month and occassional evenings to respond to emergency maintenance requests
Able to arrive at a property within 30 minutes of a maintenance request
Able to lift 50 lbs, kneel, squat, bend, climb stairs / ladders, walk consistently, be exposed to weather conditions, odors, and tight work environments
Able to cultivate professional and service oriented demeanor when interacting with residents, coworkers and vendors
