Responsibilities
New electrical installations, tenant improvements, repairs and upgrades within commercial office, retail, industrial and restaurant settings
Coordinate with customers and general contractors to plan, schedule and perform IES’ electrical scope of work.
Plan and place orders for required electrical materials that meet project timeline requirements
Organize and assemble tools and equipment required to perform tasks
Interpret plans and specifications to understand the electrical scope and plan work activities
Direct junior project team members activities, effectively communicating work requirements and facilitating training
Installation of electrical service equipment, distribution components, panels, conduit, wiring, devices, lighting and trim/finish for both new construction and upgrades to existing structures
Comply with OSHA safety requirements, administrative report records, policies and procedures
Ensure all circuitry has been installed to proper working order
Ensure the work quality meets craftsmanship standards and is fully code compliant
Troubleshoot electrical systems and value engineer alternative installations as needed
Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical and low voltage conduit
Ensure compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, detailed and consistent manner
Education and Experience
Strong electrical knowledge and background in commercial office, retail and restaurant projects
Experience with electrical service change, upgrades & repair work
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Willing to travel to multiple locations in Southern California.
Reliable transportation required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid state motor vehicle operator's license; good driving record to meet insurance requirements
