We are growing plumbing company and as we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to manage the procurement of plumbing materials and supplies. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team.
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing plumbing materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring that we maintain the necessary inventory to meet project demands. You will collaborate with our project manager and superintendent and vendors to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective purchasing solutions. This is a vital role that will directly impact the efficiency and success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Request and gather submittals
- Source and purchase plumbing materials, tools, and equipment for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate pricing, and ensure competitive pricing and quality.
- Track inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent delays in work.
- Review and process purchase orders, manage delivery schedules, and monitor product quality.
- Work closely with the operations and project management teams to understand material needs and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases
- Manage material costs and help identify cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within the plumbing or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing materials, tools, and equipment.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Ability to analyze data, track inventory, and forecast material needs
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
