Job Description
Our remodeling company has expanded to the point we need a part-time estimator for remodeling projects. Projects are typically bathrooms and kitchens and are between $15K and $30K.
Site Assessments: Conduct on-site evaluations to gather measurements, assess project scope, and identify potential challenges.
Research and calculate the costs of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
Collaborate with clients and project managers to ensure estimates align with budgetary constraints.
Prepare and present detailed proposals and cost breakdowns to clients.
The perfect candidate:
Is looking for a long-term part-time job.
Has a least 15 years experience in construction while estimating for a number of years.
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
Is fully computer literate.
Has a system for estimating, perhaps software based.
Customer Service Focus - Respectful. Professional in appearance and communication.
Own vehicle, truck or SUV You must have a current driver's license and auto insurance.
Ability to pass both a drug test and a background check.
A great candidate might be a person who had their own construction company, isn't quite ready to retire, but doesn't want put on their bags anymore.
Benefits
Hours are very flexible, likely 15-20 hours per week. Could be a few mornings per week or a couple of days a week, all day. It's up to you.
