Entry level paint prep position / 3 -5 experience required
Covering trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint
Preparing surfaces to be painted by cleaning them, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until they’re smooth
Applying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to them
Removing and reinstalling fixtures (doorknobs, electric switch covers) as necessary
Masking all areas
Working under a more experienced painter
Requirements: Reliable Transportation, ability to lift 40-50 lbs, good attitude and strong work ethic and comfortable working on ladders.
