SDFR San Diego Flood Restoration has an opening for a Lead Water Damage Cleanup Technician/Project Manager. The Employee is responsible to perform both supervision and hands-on activities including manual labor as they relate to water damage clean-up services while adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Individuals should occasionally be available for “on-call” work which can be after-hours and weekends. This position is approximately 60% Project Management and 40% hands on labor.

The successful candidate will have excellent organization and computer skills, excellent customer relations skills, and a positive attitude. They should be self-motivated without the need of supervision to perform all tasks. They can multitask and have an excellent retention of policy and procedures and be consistent in their performance.

Hours and Compensation:

· $35 per hour with a 30-hour minimum ($70,000 annually)

· This position is 30-40 hours per week with possibility of overtime.

· Bonuses based on performance

Experience and Education Requirements:

Possess superior communication skills and customer relations.

Fluently speak and read English.

Fluently speak and read Spanish

Be highly proficient in mobile app use, be able to save and transfer data including photos, and videos across multiple platforms including ADOBE, WHATSAPP, BASECAMP, MICROSOFT OFFICE, and GOOGLE DOCS.

Have a clean DMV record and a valid CA drivers license.

Have a High School Diploma or have passed the G.E.D exam.

Xactimate software proficient

Understand operation of water pumps and generator

5+ years’ experience in Water Damage Restoration.

IICRC Certified

Be proficient in the use of all moisture mapping meters and in the use of all equipment used in the restoration industry including dehumidifiers, fans, extraction equipment, pumps, etc.

Perform basic math such as subtraction, multiplication, and division. To compute basic simple fractions, ratios, and percentages.

Responsibilities:

Create detailed emails, reports, and notations to clients, 3rd party persons, subcontractors, and insurance companies. Take moisture readings and photos/videos, upload same to mobile apps.

Communication: Discuss with clarity and effectively to all parties involved. Document through the use of apps all details of events relating to a loss. Send routine reports and emails. Speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization.

Prepare work vehicles by stocking and making certain they are in working condition.

Manage warehouse supplies and equipment with great organization.

Follow applicable safety rules, regulations, and policies.

Use and supervise technicians as to the proper use of PPE.

Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.

Perform manual labor as needed.

Take command of any water damage event. Tasks include emergency mitigation procedures, moisture mapping, manipulation of customers personal property, identification and documentation of pre-existing conditions, and the setup and operation of drying equipment.

Work Environment:

The employee will be working around equipment and machinery, the work environment is usually dirty, dusty, and noisy. The job is subject to inclement or extreme weather conditions and temperatures. Work may sometimes include the use of personal protective equipment. Frequent travel is required for this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The employee should be in good physical health and will be subject to random drug screening. The employee is able to wear full and half face respirator, work in confined spaces, and regularly lift and carry 30 pounds.
