We are looking for a competent Working Construction Supervisor, to work and oversee the labor force on our construction sites. You will not only be a point of reference for workers and management; you will be a key person for the completion of a project.
A construction Supervisor has a solid background in the field. Your leadership skills and your extensive experience earn you the ability to direct the work and direct the work of others and make quick decisions. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else.
A Construction Supervisor supervises and troubleshoots routine issues that occur on the job site. In addition to ensuring safety rules are always followed, and work with Leadership to develop schedules based upon the availability of employees or contractors and weather conditions. They work with staff to source supplies and materials needed for the project within time limits, so they don't run out before completing a project.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
Have the trade skills to fulfill those task
Skills in Carpentry and/or other trades is a must
Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
Allocate general and daily responsibilities
Supervise and train workers
Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
Resolve problems when they arise
Report on progress to Owners, Leadership Office, etc.
Must be a self-starter, driven, self-motivated, and willing to be hands on, and work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. Qualified applicants need to have reliable tools and transportation with current registration and insurance, and a valid California driver’s license. Must have the ability to sit, bend, and stoop for more than 6 hours per day; lift 50 pounds or more, and work outside in different climates. A background check will be required.
