Transportation Company with 40+ years of experience in the industry is searching for a Billing and Accounts Payable Manager to join their team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Billing Dept:
Reads computer files or gathers documents such as delivery orders, bill of ladings, manifests, import/export
invoices and proof of deliveries to compile needed data.
Enters information into computer or computes amounts due.
Prepares invoices, listing items sold, amounts due, credit terms, and dates of shipment.
Posts payments to customer accounts.
Prepares account statements for customers
Posts transactions to accounting records such as work sheet, ledger, or computer files.
Calls or emails customers regarding past due accounts.
Collect necessary documentation from dispatch to insure timely billing.
Prepares and sends customer rate quotes.
Accounts Payable:
Enters Customer Bills
Prints out checks for payments to suppliers
Requests statements and insures accounts are accurate
Maintain weekly budget reports
Coordinates with CPA monthly to enter data for financial statements
Workers comp monthly reports
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma minimum: on the job training, previous work experience in Transportation or Import/Export industry or equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
