Info: This is a Non-Emergency and Para-Transit transportation company looking for committed and reliable drivers to transport our members to doctor appointments and dialysis facilities.
Job Position:
Transporting members with Stretcher/Gurney Accessible Vehicle.
Transferring Patients from a Bed to Gurney/Stretchers, Members will weigh between 100-350 Pounds.
One week paid training
Operated Vehicle Is Ford E-150
Full-time Position 6 Days a week.
Driver position
History of Gurney/Stretcher Transportation Experience is
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Must be able work with partner as full-time driver position
Must be able to transfer patients weighing 100-350 Pounds
Competent verbal and written English skills. Spanish is
Must possess a valid Class C California driver license.
Must pass a Criminal Background Screening and Sex Offender Registry Search at time of hire and annually thereafter.
Must pass OIG Exclusion Listing and SAM Exclusion Listing at time of hire and monthly thereafter.
Must Have a Motor Vehicle Records (DMV H6 RECORD) check at time of hire and continuously during employment.
Must pass a Drug Screen at time of hire and randomly thereafter.
Must pass Alcohol Screenings randomly after hire.
Familiarity with navigation systems.
Ability to remain in seated position for extended periods.
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Drivers operate vehicles for extended periods of the time.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Maintain clear communication between Members, Dispatch, Appointment Facilities, Dialysis Centers.
Builds and maintains positive working relationship with co-workers, employees located at other facilities and the public using principles of good customer service & good judgement.
Maintain 100% accuracy when performing trips.
Conduct daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspection of assigned vehicle prior to beginning route & at the end of the shift.
Operates Smartphone with access to email and internet.
Show true compassion for the disabled and elderly.
Perform "Door thru Door" service.
Reads, and interacts with, Tom Tom devices to determine most efficient routes.
Adapts to change in the work environment.
Adapts driving style to current weather conditions.
Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Uses time efficiently and completes work in a timely manner.
Observes safety and security procedures.
Review schedule in advance and notify dispatch/ Fleet Manager if the schedule needs to be adjusted to make pickup/drop-off times.
Communicating with dispatch with Members' status updates as driver is or becomes aware.
Communicate any Incidents/Accidents as or becomes aware immediately to Fleet Manager.
Ability to present oneself as well as the company in a professional manner.
Any other duties as assigned by management.
