1. Services Provided
The Driver agrees to provide transportation services using their own vehicle. These services include transporting clients to and from appointments as directed by We All Care Transportation.
2. Driver Responsibilities
The Driver agrees to the following responsibilities:
Vehicle Requirements:
The Driver must provide their own vehicle for all transportation services.
The vehicle must be kept clean and well-maintained at all times.
The Driver is required to maintain up-to-date vehicle registration with the State of California.
The vehicle must be covered by full insurance, including liability, collision, and comprehensive coverage, as required by California law.
Service Quality:
The Driver must provide excellent service to clients, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and timely transportation experience.
The Driver is expected to act professionally, courteously, and respectfully toward all clients.
Communication with Clients:
The Driver must contact each client at least one hour before the scheduled pickup time to confirm the details of the trip.
The Driver must immediately inform the client and We All Care Transportation if any situation arises that may affect the scheduled transportation service.
Documentation:
The Driver must provide a valid driver's license issued by the State of California.
The Driver must provide a valid Social Security number or a work visa permitting them to work in the United States.
3. Compensation
We All Care Transportation agrees to compensate the Driver as follows:
$1.50 per mile for all "live miles" driven with the client in the vehicle, calculated through the Driver's insurance records.
$0.30 per mile for all "dead miles" driven without the client in the vehicle (e.g., from the Driver's location to the client's pick-up point and from the drop-off point back to the Driver's location). Dead miles will be calculated based on screenshots of the Driver's GPS. If these screenshots are not provided, dead miles will not be paid out.
$20.00 for any "no-show" situations where the client fails to appear for the scheduled pickup.
4. Penalties
The following penalties apply for the Driver’s failure to meet the agreed-upon service standards:
Late Arrival Penalty:
If the Driver arrives more than [insert time, e.g., 15 minutes] late for a scheduled pickup without notifying the client or We All Care Transportation in advance, the Driver shall be penalized with a deduction of $5.00 from their compensation for that trip.
Failure to Show Up:
If the Driver fails to show up for a scheduled pickup without prior notification and reasonable cause, the Driver shall be penalized with a deduction of $10.00 from their next payment. Repeated no-shows may result in termination of this Agreement.
5. Compliance with California Laws
The Driver agrees to comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, including but not limited to, traffic regulations and insurance requirements specific to the State of California.
6. Liability and Insurance
The Driver is responsible for any accidents, damages, or claims arising from their use of the vehicle while providing transportation services under this Agreement. The Driver agrees to indemnify and hold harmless We All Care Transportation from any and all claims, damages, or expenses arising from the Driver's negligence, misconduct, or failure to adhere to the terms of this Agreement.
7. Termination of Agreement
Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time with [insert notice period, e.g., 14 days] notice, provided that the terminating party compensates the other party for any services rendered or costs incurred up until the time of termination.
