What You'll DoYou will help drive profitable growth through insightful financial analysis and key decision support for Cisco’s largest Business Entity ($10B+/yr) in the midst of a fundamental transformation toward a recurring revenue model. You’ll partner with the Enterprise Switching FP&A Manager, the broader BE Finance team as well as the Product Management team on critical activities including short and long-term planning, analysis of P&L drivers, alignment with partners across the company to drive margin expansion, and compliance initiatives. Key to your success in this position will be your unique combination of analytical insights and your ability to build strong business partnerships with a range of stakeholders across Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Services and Operations organizations.More specifically, you will:Collaborate with the Enterprise Switching FP&A Manager, Business Unit Controllers and the Product Marketing team to analyze bookings performance across the business and provide insight into product transition trends across our large and diverse portfolio. This analysis will enable an understanding of performance drivers and provide context for forecast updates as we continue our multi-year transition toward next-generation platforms that drive Cisco’s overall transition toward software and recurring revenue.

Provide critical support to the financial close process for Cisco’s external switching business, which includes multiple elements of switching beyond internal Enterprise Switching, including Data Center, Meraki and IoT switching businesses.

As an important element of the financial close process, partner with the FP&A team in the creation and review of a comprehensive financial package covering multiple aspects of the switching business, providing insights into operational drivers for our EN Finance VP to prepare for the CFO-level close meeting.

Use analytical insights and business partnership skills to drive analysis of impactful trends across a large and complex business, with particular focus on understanding the impact of competitive pricing, product mix, cost savings, non-material spending and warranty. It will be especially valuable to use your analytical abilities to identify key business drivers and articulate their impact across the P&L.

Develop a solid understanding of the role that software plays as a growth driver to both revenue and margin, via term and perpetual monetization models, and actively look for opportunities to hone your forecasting model to capture the impact of software.

As Cisco’s largest BE, it is crucial to work closely with our central FP&A organization and play an important supporting role in managing deliverables including the annual plan, quarterly business reviews, long-range planning, occasional restatements of certain P&L elements and other ad-hoc analyses.

Partner with Business Unit, Supply Chain and Warranty stakeholders to understand the cost model for key platforms and how to optimize at various stages of the product lifecycle, driving a "cost-out" approach with an ongoing focus on margin improvement.

You bring with you a high level of motivation with a focus on results and possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills.Our minimum requirements for this role:You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a Business-related field with 2+ years of Finance / FP&A experience, with a particular focus on operational metrics.

You have solid analytical skills along with a strong understanding of the full P&L, with planning experience spanning short and long-term horizons.

You are adept at key tools used in FP&A including Excel and advanced financial modeling with experience in Essbase and Business Objects.

You are an excellent writer and communicator.
