Job description:- This role focuses on the development and implementation of security architecture, network and infrastructure security designs, and the development and implementation of security best practices. The Security Engineering Manager has significant visibility and influence across the business and will influence and design innovative security solutions, improve security processes, create and drive new security practices, and implement new security tools
Responsibilities of Security Engineer at Samsung
Lead a team of security engineers to ensure adequate security solutions and controls are in place throughout all IT systems and applications to mitigate identified risks sufficiently, and to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements
Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of standard security infrastructure solutions and components
Research, design, and advocate new security technologies, architectures, and products that will support security requirements for the enterprise and its customers, and business partners
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the information security strategy
Analyze business impact and exposure, based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and risks
Develop the business, information, and technical artifacts that constitute the enterprise information security architecture and solutions
Conduct security architecture/application reviews to assess technical and business risk, identify threats and potential areas for abuse in applications, specify solutions, verify through testing, and determine the right level of architecture activity and project oversight based on risk
Deliver security roadmaps to address application security issues in a risk-based, prioritized order and drive implementation across multiple teams
Work as Development Security Operations (DevSecOp) Engineer with product managers to analyze, review and help identifying vulnerabilities and security risks in internally developed products and applications
Perform Cloud security assessments for third party hosted infrastructure and provide hardening controls for a secure implementation.
Requirements for Security Engineer at Samsung
B.S. / B.A. in a technical or engineering field, Computer Science, Information Systems
5 years of experience managing an Information Security team or IR function
2 or more years of successful program management experience
Direct work experience in a technical project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
Experience with estimating costs, timelines, and resource requirements.
Experience with secure development lifecycle strategies, process flows and working in a dynamic environment
