Our client is looking for a Senior Security Vulnerability Engineer to join their team! In this position, you will work closely with various business and technical groups and external users to develop, deploy, and implement vulnerability scanning solutions using Qualys, Rapid 7, and Tenable. This is a key role offering the opportunity to define security processes and develop strategies in adherence to established disciplines.

Additionally, you will:
  • Review/analyze security vulnerabilities and perform technical risk assessments across systems, networks, and business applications
  • Assist in defining and implementing technologies into corporate frameworks
  • Develop test plan and implement testing prior to new systems rollout into production environment(s)
  • Communicate with internal and external clients on security requirements
  • Ensure that solutions can be effectively delegated to security, support, and operations specialists
  • Participate in cybersecurity incident investigations
  • Research and evaluate improvements to security tools, techniques, and processes
  • Keep current with cybersecurity trends and threats to best recommend proactive measures

What Gets You the Job?
  • 8+ years’ professional IT experience with at least 4 years in an information security role
  • 5+ years’ hands-on experience managing vulnerability assessment solutions using tools such as Qualys, Rapid 7, and Tenable
  • Experience building automation tools using scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
  • Knowledge of CVSS, OWASP Top 10 and Vulnerability Exploitability ratings
  • Experience with Citrix, Windows, Linux, and cloud/virtualized environments (containers)
  • Experience working with technical and business personnel including IT groups, client managers, business customers, third-parties, vendors, and auditors
  • Data analytics experience with the ability to perform qualitative analysis provide recommendations
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and pivot in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • CISSP, GIAC, CCNA, CCNP certification is preferred
