Description Overview:A prominent heavy civil engineering general contractor, seeks a talented Mid/Junior SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. Manage and maintain SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
Implement backup and recovery procedures, testing disaster recovery scenarios.
Collaborate with teams to optimize database structures, reports, queries, and procedures.
Monitor system health, diagnose and resolve performance issues.
Keep software up-to-date and perform upgrades as needed.
Ensure data integrity and implement security policies.
Assist with capacity planning and document database designs and procedures.
Provide on-call support for database-related emergencies.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
1-3 years of experience as a SQL DBA or similar role.
Knowledge of construction application systems.
Proficiency in SQL Server tools, T-SQL, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with backup and recovery methods.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of SSRS and PowerBI is a plus.
Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
Location: Santa Ana, California. This is an in-office position.Compensation: A reasonable base compensation estimate for this position is $45-$60 per hour.
