Title: COMPUTER TECH II

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Contract: 6+ months w/ chance for extension

Schedule: Need to be available to work OT. Shifts may be 7 days a week and be 8 - 12 hour days with non standard days off.

Description:

Under minimal supervision provides front-line support to end users for installation, repair and preventative maintenance of personal computers, laptops and printers. This support may be provided on-site or remotely as needed. Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations and printers. Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for the desktop environment. Will potentially need to go to different sites around the local area and have the transportation to do so. Will potentially be needed to work at the county vaccination center.

Responsible for the installation, servicing and upgrading PC equipment, mainframe connections, and peripherals and responds to user requests. Troubleshoots and repairs computer software, hardware, and network configurations. Provides technical and user support for PC components, mainframe networking, and LAN-based systems. May be internal or external client-focused.

Skills and Experience:

• Must be capable of providing support for desktops, laptops and printer repair
• Support experience working with O365
• Must be capable of providing customer consulting services with minimal supervision
• Strong oral/written communication and customer interface skills a necessity
• Candidate must be able to carry and lift up to 40 lbs.
• 2+ years of Desktop Support experience required.

Education:

• High school education or equivalent and 2+ years of related experience. Technical school desired.
