Job Summary

We are looking for smart people to help us imagine, design, and build great software solutions leveraging the Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) platform to help our business partners succeed by solving challenging problems in a fast paced and results driven setting.

As Salesforce Lead developer, you will:

• Translate business requirements into well-architected Vlocity product that showcase the Salesforce platform
• Design and engineer new solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex and Lightning Web Components
• Provide hands-on development assistance to product team for technical issues
• Provide guidance during business requirement evaluation on best solution with either declarative (point-and-click configuration) or code and customization
• Follow modern software development methodologies including iterative and incremental development based on Agile principles
• Continue learning new platform capabilities resulting from product release and acquisitions.
• Apply design patterns like limits and bulkification patterns, efficient and reliable trigger handling, asynchronous operations, and effective unit testing
• Conduct code reviews to ensure high code quality and design patterns are followed and help remediate vulnerabilities
• Provide technical guidance/mentorship to other team members

Technical Skills Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of direct experience working in Salesforce Platform (Vlocity or Industries a plus)
• Demonstrable Apex development experience: classes, triggers, controllers, components and understanding of governor limits
• Understanding of DevOps practices, change sets, scratch orgs and deployments
• Development experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC) including JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Experience using platform automation tools (flows, process builder, data loader)
• Experience with SQL, SOQL and SOSL best practices
• Experience with Vlocity Interaction Platform (Omni Scripts, Data Raptors, Integration Procedures, Flex cards) highly desirable
• Experience integrating Salesforce with other business applications via Mulesoft (REST & SOAP endpoints)

Preferred Qualifications

• In depth understanding of Salesforce Industries Insurance Data Model
• In depth understanding of Insurance industry's key processes (quoting, policy admin, claims)
• Comfortable coordinating with distributed teams (US + India)
• Promotes openness, inquisitiveness, positivity, teamwork and especially integrity
• Cost Conscious in self-declared timelines, balancing urgency, and importance
• Salesforce Certifications, specifically, Platform Developer I and/or Service Cloud Consultant desired
