Job Title: Lead Camp Counselor - Outdoor Adventure Camp
Location: Elings Park
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Duration: 8 weeks, from June 16th to August 8th, 2024 (No camp Friday July 4th)
Pay Rate: $25/hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Camp Counselor to join our team at Elings Park's Outdoor Adventure Camp. As the Lead Counselor, you will oversee daily camp activities, ensure the safety and well-being of campers, coordinate with other counselors, implement camp programs & activities, and facilitate engaging outdoor adventures.
Basic Required Skills:
Previous experience working with children in a camp or outdoor education setting (teacher credentials are preferred)
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - Ability to plan and lead outdoor activities such as hiking and team-building exercises
- CPR certification (must be current)
- Ability to pass a background check.
