Position: Lower Grade Teacher

Type: Part-Time or Full-Time (depending on applicant availability)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a warm, dynamic, and experienced lower grades teacher who thrives in a creative, hands-on, supportive environment. This role is ideal for an educator who delights in early childhood development, builds strong relationships with families, and has a strong background in literacy, writing and math instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction in core subjects (literacy, numeracy, science, social studies).
Create a nurturing, joyful, and structured classroom environment that encourages student autonomy and collaboration.
Integrate nature-based, hands-on learning.
Collaborate with other teachers to align curriculum and support students holistically.
Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers with warmth and transparency.
Support students in building strong habits of kindness, curiosity, and resilience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (Master’s preferred) & Teaching credential
Experience teaching lower elementary grades
Strong understanding of early literacy and math instruction
Comfort with outdoor learning and minimal technology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for fostering strong relationships with students and families
