Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and passionate Private Swim Instructor to provide personalized swimming lessons for individuals or small groups in a private setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various swim techniques, a passion for teaching, and the ability to work with swimmers of all ages and skill levels. This position requires the ability to tailor lessons to meet the unique needs of each student while ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one or small group swim lessons tailored to each student’s needs, skill level, and goals.

Use the company's teaching approach to focus on improving swimming technique, endurance, and water safety.

Teach students of all ages, from beginners to advanced swimmers, ensuring lessons are both fun and effective.

Assess students’ progress and provide regular feedback and encouragement.

Ensure a safe swimming environment by adhering to water safety protocols and supervising students at all times.

Promote water safety practices and educate students on proper swimming techniques and aquatic health.

Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding lesson progress, goals, and areas for improvement.

Adapt lessons for students with special needs or different learning styles, if applicable.

Maintain a positive, supportive, and motivating atmosphere during all lessons.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of swim equipment and teaching space.

Be punctual and reliable for scheduled lessons.

Driving between lessons, must have car.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a swim instructor, lifeguard, or swim coach.

CPR certified, the company is open to covering this for the right fit

Lifeguard certification preferred

Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, water safety, and aquatic exercises.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and parents.

Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals, including children, adults, and those with special needs.

Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching.

Flexible availability (including evenings and weekends) to accommodate students' schedules.

Additional Information:

All swim instructors are required to undergo a background check.

This role will involve travel to private homes or locations with pool facilities.

Instructors should have reliable transportation to commute to lesson locations.
