Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara is seeking facilitators for our After School Program (Grades TK-6) at

our Goleta Valley Center.

personal, and career goals.

Facilitator Essential Job Functions Include:

Creating, preparing for, and facilitating daily intentional activities within our Core Essential Services

(Healthy Living, Academic Enrichment and Support, and Life Skills)

Facilitating daily homework and tutoring activities

Ensuring girls' safety, both physically and emotionally, through active supervision

Abide and adhere to the safety requirements and procedures of our operations

Keeping accurate records of attendance

Being a mentor and leader setting a positive example and role model for the girls

Participating in staff trainings, meetings, and events

Maintaining organization and cleanliness of programming areas, resources, and supplies

Creating a pro-girl environment

Interacting with families in a positive and welcoming way

Minimum Requirements:

1 year experience working with youth in a structured educational setting

12 college level units in early childhood education or any of the following areas: sociology, psychology,

art, music, dance, drama, recreation, education.

Ability to pass criminal background check and clean criminal record

Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening

Vaccinations as required by State Law for licensed child care facilities (TB, Pertussis and Measles

immunization. Flu vaccine recommended, but optional).

We require COVID-19 vaccines and boosters for all employees. Exemptions may be requested for

medical reasons or religious beliefs

Strong communication skills and ability and desire to work as a team member of a diverse and

dynamic team

Work Hours Available:

Part Time non-exempt: Monday- Friday 12:30pm-6:00pm (schedule flexibility available)

Pay:

$17.50-19.50 depending on experience and education
