Role Overview:
The Design Assistant will play a crucial role, supporting both the Interior Design Studio and Construction Team. This position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized individual with excellent communication skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, or construction (or equivalent work experience)
Minimum 2 years of experience in an Interior Design firm with an assistant or project management role
Proficiency in CAD, Revit, and/or Vectorworks is a plus
Proficiency in Google Suite is required
Strong leadership skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Personable when interfacing with clients and presenting ideas
Collaborative team player
Knowledge of FF&E and furniture specifications
Responsibilities:
Lead interior design assignments
Presentation of project concepts
Coordinate and manage project communications, including contracts, budgets, and schedules
Liaise with client representatives, project managers, subcontractors, & vendors
Managing FF&E: estimates, budgets, proposals, specifications, purchase orders, payments, and installation
Self-motivated, positive attitude, open to constructive feedback, and a commitment to personal and professional growth within the role
