The Mechanical Engineer will be involved in all facets of engineering as described below and the candidates need to be highly motivated, self-starting, and have great attention to detail. The proper candidate will also be inclined to roll up their sleeves and have the ability to assemble and test their designs and concepts.

Requirements:
Create deliverable drawings and assemblies as required to fulfill customer orders. Includes incurring all products into specific configurations to match customer requirements. Work within the confines of Genius ERP software and Onshape CAD software. Create ECOs to release and change components. Create Bills of Material. Create a component, sub-assembly, and deliverable assembly drawings. Transmit models and deliverable drawings to customers for approval.
Design or have input on new products as required by customer specifications. When existing products do not meet the need of the customer, assist in the design of new products. Work to the customer-provided specification and statement of work. Assist with the design review process.
Design or have input on new products and components as required to fill the needs of the marketplace, while maintaining a philosophy of “design to cost”. Work with feedback from marketing to design and develop new product ideas. Work with machine shops to research and test new concepts and methods as required. Work within the confines of engineering budgets to help ensure the marketability and profitability of new products. Obtain initial quotes from vendors for specified components and be first in line to evaluate supplier capability.
Assist distributors, sales reps, and inside sales personnel in presenting necessary information to the customer for the technical side of sale. Create a model of the desired product in the configuration requested by the customer. Review specifications and requirements of the customer to ensure the proper fit of mechanical device.
Work with the engineering team, quality assurance, and production teams to evaluate and solve problems. Work on the assembly floor to gain a thorough knowledge of common practices and procedures. Be part of MRB and ECO boards to help find solutions to issues that occur both on the product and vendor front. Specify, design, build, and test tooling and other manufacturing aids as necessary.
Assist the engineering team in the continual evaluation and improvement of products. Create test plans and procedures for proper testing of the device. Create a collaboration of results and findings in document format to help validate life expectancy and target performance specifications.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
1+ year of experience as a Mechanical Engineer
Fluent in CAD Software, preferably Onshape
Willingness to travel on occasions
