Carhartt Family Wines, an established, family-owned and operated winery and vineyard in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley of Santa Barbara County, is looking for a Tasting Room Associate to join our team in Los Olivos.
We are seeking a candidate with sales experience, a basic knowledge of wine, and most importantly, exceptional customer service skills. Strong communication and time management skills, the ability to multitask, as well as a positive, enthusiastic attitude are also imperative. Though experience in the wine/restaurant/hospitality industries is desirable, it is not required.
Compensation:
We offer a very competitive compensation and incentive program. In addition to an above minimum hourly wage, servers earn commission for selling Wine Club memberships and full bottle sales. While tips are voluntary and variant, our staff has been earning $30 - $50 per hour on average over the past year.
We consider ourselves the best in the business when it comes to a tasting room experience. We expect our guests to leave feeling as if they have learned something new, created a bond with our staff, and found a sense of belonging in our tasting room that merits a visit every time they return to the Santa Ynez Valley.
REQUIREMENTS
21 or older
Hold a valid driver's license
Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends
Passion for wine
Experience in wine sales a plus
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Ability to stand, walk and manage multiple tables
Capable of lifting 40 pounds
