Job Summary:
Mix and bake ingredients to produce breads, rolls, cookies, cakes, pies, pastries, or other baked goods.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Open the bakery early in the morning
Observe color of products being baked and adjust oven temperatures, humidity, or conveyor speeds accordingly.
Set oven temperatures and place items into hot ovens for baking.
Combine measured ingredients in bowls of mixing, blending, or cooking machinery.
Measure or weigh flour or other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs, fillings, or icings, using scales or graduated containers.
Roll, knead, cut, or shape dough to form sweet rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, or other products.
Place dough in pans, molds, or on sheets and bake in production ovens or on grills.
Check the quality of raw materials to ensure that standards and specifications are met.
Adapt the quantity of ingredients to match the amount of items to be baked.
Check equipment to ensure that it meets health and safety regulations and perform maintenance or cleaning, as necessary.
Set time and speed controls for mixing machines, blending machines, or steam kettles so that ingredients will be mixed or cooked according to instructions.
Prepare or maintain inventory or production records.
Direct or coordinate bakery deliveries.
Order or receive supplies or equipment.
Check products for quality and identify damaged or expired goods.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Knowledge:
Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Food Production - Knowledge of techniques and equipment for planting, growing, and harvesting food products (both plant and animal) for consumption, including storage/handling techniques.
English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
Technical Skills:
Equipment Maintenance- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Equipment Selection- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
Installation- Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
Operation and Control- Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
Operation Monitoring- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Operations Analysis- Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design.
Quality Control Analysis- Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Repairing- Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
Troubleshooting- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.

While performing the functions of this job, an employee must walk, stand, or maintain movement during the shift. Employee must be able to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, and wipe. Employee must frequently wash their hands and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Employee will be expected to wear a company issued uniform, which should be maintained in good, clean condition upon arrival to the work place.

Hours: Full Time - 35 to 40 hours per week
Compensation: $25 + per hour
