Job Summary:
The Host is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and managing the flow of guests in the dining area. This role involves greeting patrons, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth seating process.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Reception:
Greet guests warmly and provide them with needed information.
Manage reservations and walk-ins, ensuring efficient seating arrangements.
Seating Management:
Assign tables based on guest preference and server availability to optimize flow.
Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times to guests.
Communication:
Coordinate with servers and kitchen to ensure a seamless dining experience.
Inform guests of any special events or promotions happening in the restaurant.
Guest Service:
Address inquiries and resolve issues or concerns promptly and courteously.
Ensure that guests feel welcomed and valued throughout their visit.
Maintaining Cleanliness:
Keep the host stand and entrance area clean and organized.
Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the restaurant.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred.
Up-to-date certifications on all required compliance training.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Friendly and positive attitude with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Education:
Food safety and other company and industry specific certifications are required.
