Line Cook – Lion’s Tale (Montecito)
Lion’s Tale is a cocktail bar and restaurant in Montecito with a focus on California- and French-inspired cuisine. We’re looking for experienced Line Cooks to join our kitchen team.
This is a part-time position with the potential to grow into full-time for the right candidate.

Previous line cook experience in a professional kitchen
Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
Ability to work cleanly and efficiently during service
Team-oriented attitude with attention to detail
Comfort working evening service in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities
Leads all menu prep and execution
Cooks and plates food as directed in a clean, safe, and timely manner Prepares food according to procedures and standards, within allowable time guidelines
Ensures high food quality
Maintains a clean, neat, and organized workstation, kitchen, and prep area Practices proper receiving, stocking, storage, and rotating procedures Practices safe food handling procedures such as labeling and dating Assists in producing Family Meal
Safely operates and cleans all kitchen equipment
Conducts regular deep cleanings of the kitchen and walk-in Completes station inventories and checklists
Adhere to the highest standards of food safety, food handling, sanitation, workplace safety, and
hygiene requirements according to California Department of Health standards to ensure the
health and safety of team members and guests
Adhere to COVID-19 sanitation protocols issued by the Center for Disease Control
Adheres to time and temperature protocols
Requirements
California Food Handler Card
Must be punctual and reliable
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Hours of operation:
Sunday–Thursday: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Friday & Saturday: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
