Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Cook to lead our culinary team. Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and service.
Develop and implement menus that meet dietary needs and preferences.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, including dietary aides, in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Ensure all food is prepared according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and order ingredients as needed.
Monitor food safety practices to comply with health regulations.
Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary requests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a head cook or similar culinary role within the food service or restaurant industry.
Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary skills, including knife skills.
Familiarity with dietary requirements and nutrition principles is preferred.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments, particularly the dietary department.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and safety practices.
