Summary of Job Details:

The Catering Event and Dining Room Supervisor's main responsibility is the execution and oversight of The Club & Guest House’s events and catering in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the Food & Beverage Manager and in collaboration with the Catering Sales Manager, Club Chef, and General Manager. The Dining Room & Catering Event Supervisor must carefully follow the instructions provided in the Banquet Event Orders when overseeing the events. The Catering Event and Dining Room Supervisor also assists in conducting The Dining Room’s weekly lunch service with the Food & Beverage Manager. To perform these duties, the Catering Event & Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling student staff. To meet the role’s requirements, the Dining Room & Catering Event Supervisor must attend the Banquet Event Order Meetings, Staff Meetings, and have a flexible schedule based on the catering needs.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

1-3 years demonstrated ability to organize and manage restaurant services and a variety of events while maintaining a high standard of excellence.

1-3 years of proven ability to train, schedule, and supervise student staff. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of food service and sanitation regulations.

Intermediate computer application skills, including food service applications such as point of sale and inventory control software. Basic mathematics.

Skills in verbal and written communication.

Special Conditions of Employment:

Satisfactory conviction history background check.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

ServSafe certification or equivalent certification within 90 days of hire.

Work days and hours will vary, including evenings and weekends.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours a day.

Hiring/Budgeted Salary or Hourly Range:

-The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $47,800 - $54,866/yr. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience; the budget for the position; and the application of fair, equitable, and consistent pay practices at the University.

Days/Hours:

Tuesday - Saturday, and may include evenings and holidays.
