Who we are:
A successful 5 year old pastry program who ghosts out of a commercial kitchen in Carpinteria and delivers pastries daily to Summerland 7 days a week. Our current team is only 2 people managing the full work load.
This position is part time. 2-3 days per week to start.
Shifts are 5-6 hours per day, 1 weekend day required, with a 5 am start time.
Flexibility available for weekday shifts.
Ideal candidate is a morning person, has kitchen experience, good communication skills, is timely and can self manage with minimal oversight.
Your primary responsibilities will be:
1. Basic pastry prep (shaping cookies, pie dough, quiche crust, and so on)
2. Learning the morning bake off routine in case of the need for coverage of another team member.
3. Occasional pastry delivery from Carpinteria to Summerland, and bring back any inventory from Summerland location
4. We wash all our own dishes.
There is opportunity for growth within the department as we are currently expanding our menu options.
Minimum 1 year kitchen experience required.
Pastry experience and a basic understanding of fundamentals would be ideal.
Willing to train the right person.
