Retail Support Staff: part-time position (+/- 25 hrs/wk) $20-22/hr, with potential to move to full-time
We are a local wine shop primarily focused on retail and events looking to add a part-time employee to our small team. If you are interested in wine and are looking to join a fun, customer-focused team, please reach out. Wine knowledge is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate and provide education, where appropriate.
General Expectations: Primary role is to ensure the proper organization and appearance of the store and assist in floor wine sales to customers. Main daily tasks include order fulfillment, shelf stocking, shipping and receiving wine, local deliveries and overall store cleanliness. Individual must possess strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills to multitask on a daily basis and be open to feedback. Work as a team player to efficiently complete job tasks and have a proactive approach to the position.
Job Responsibilities:
Efficiently fulfill orders with high attention to detail
Maintain store appearance, supplies
Stock and accurately tag wine and accessories
Daily and weekly shipping
Maintain cleanliness of store inventory
Provide a high level of customer service
Ring up customer transactions on the Point of Sale
Answer phones and respond to customer emails in a timely manner
Qualifications:
Education: College Degree Preferred
Licenses: Driver's License
Must be 21 years of age; Must have a valid driver’s license under the laws of the State of California, acceptable motor vehicle record, proof of insurance.
Specialized Work Experience: Prior retail/customer service experience required. Wine knowledge preferred.
Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, POS.
Physical Requirements: Standing, bending, twisting and/or stooping on a regular basis. Lift 25-50 lbs and be able to use retail-type ladders. Reaching and/or lifting overhead, grasping/grabbing with hands on a regular basis.
Job Type: part-time, with potential to become full-time
Pay: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
