Job Duties & Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Greet guests in a friendly professional manner
Maintain complete knowledge of restaurant’s food and beverage preparation, the ingredients used
and the different cooking methods
Sell alcohol and food items
Ensure menu, food preparation and ingredient knowledge in order to address guests food allergy
concerns and questions
Interact with guests in a friendly and efficient manner; ensure guests’ complete satisfaction by
exceeding their expectations
Perform light food preparation duties when needed
Follow all service standards including up-selling and suggestive selling
Inform Guests of daily specials
Check food and beverages for quality and presentation, before serving
Serve food and beverages to guests
Check identification to ensure that Guests meet minimum age requirements for consumption of
alcoholic beverages
Recognize signs of intoxication and handle alcohol-related situations effectively; keep manager
informed when situations arise regarding intoxicated guests/refusal of service
Provide food and drink recommendations to guests
Receive guest payments and process transactions
Respond appropriately to guest complaints and bring any issues to the attention of a manager
Report to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintain well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as
established by company policy
Attend all scheduled employee meetings
Additional tasks as assigned
